I went out and took several shots so that I always able to find the right pictures for the front cover, contents page and double page spread. The pictures above are what was produced. By using different backgrounds, angles and shots I was able to get a good variation of pictures that will be useful towards the magazine construction as I have pictures to choose from which will make it a lot easier as I will be able to pick out the best shot picture to be featured in my magazine and overall making the magazine more presentable and professional as the pictures will give a good basis to the magazine as they will be of good quality.

Research and planning

After considering this for some time I've decided not to take the background out of the picture I take to go on to the front cover. The reasons for this are that I feel the background if done right will add an extra element to the cover. Also I feel is the background is taken out it will make the front confer look too simple, plain and not filled. 

Organisation

I have come to the decision that I will use a photo that includes a background for my front cover. The reasons for this are I have looked at trying to imulate a XXL inspired magazine however I feel that the white background is going to be too plain for my magazine. When getting to the picture for the magazine front cover it of going to be important I pic a good location to shoot at with my model and a place that will fit in with my main artist and genre chosen.

This is the masthead I am going to use for my final magazine. I am going to use this as I feel that the typography relates to the word content.
