This is the masthead I am going to use for my final magazine. I am going to use this as I feel that the typography relates to the word content.

inspiration for support act ( Research into similar products and potential target audience)
I am going to take my inspiration for this artist from a modern Eminem in term of how he dresses.
I am having an Eminem inspired in my magazine as I want to have a mature artists within it as my main artists and other group are still young.
The only way I can get this across is by taking away certain dress features such as caps/hats and bright colors or patterns and instead have a more neutral colors.
support act (reasons+name ideas)
As the first support act in created is a group this time i want it to be a solo artists. To create a name for my artist I have decided to use a website called 'www.behindthename.com'.
This is the first name that was generated by this tool, which is wolf. I did not continue to generate names as I like the name wolf as i feel that I can base a character around this name.
This allows you to enter a few different factors and from this generates a random name based on the factors you have entered.

Research into similar products
As I have only really looked at XXL covers I have decide now to look at 'vibe' magazine as I feel that this will give me more inspiration for my rap magazine. The use of the mid shot of Eminem on the front cover is powerful and the cover lines are able to be positioned balanced around the figure of him which gives an organised feel to te magazine but also shows Eminem as being the main focus.I will have a decision of whether using a mid shot or a close up of my artist as I will need to use the best shot to suit the layout of my magazine and how the artist is presented.

main artist's style
To further build the image of my main cover artist I have shown the typical clothing that the artists would wear. As you can see it is quite urban and these clothes are commonly known as 'street wear' I feel that the artist would be best in clothes that reflective him as a person.
Target audience expectation/attraction
As the rap industry is beaming at the moment a lot of teenagers are interested in the genre, especially because of the upbeat style and often rebellious lyrics that you often hear in rap songs. This is something teenagers relate to so I expect my main target audience attraction to be male teenagers from the age of around 15 to the age of 18.

Planning for the photo shoots
The image for my magazine is important and I need to incorporate the right image for my artist by making sure at the shoot that my artist has the right 'look' to them.As my artist is a rapper I will make my artist wear a cap and hoody which is typical wear for rappers. Also at the shoot I will need to attempt several shots using different angles to try and get the best picture for my magazine.
Potential colour scheme
As my magazine will be for the music genre of rap I will be avoiding bright colours as I want my magazine to reflect the genre of music. I quite like the idea of either having a camouflage pattern or the use of dark colours for example black, burgundy and navy. This will be something I will have to test as I still have time to experiment.

support act
Now that I have decided on the name of 'regular Prophets' for my support act I can now build an image for the group. It will consists of 3 members and they will be relatively urban and have a similar appearance to 'FLATBUSH ZOMBIES' which I showed in the a previous post.
drafting names for support act for main cover star
In order to do this I used a tool in the form of a name generator to make the name as interesting as possible.
here are the names that the generator produced and from This I like most 'Regular Prophets' as I feel it is most suited for a rap group.

Research and planningn for support group
I have been looking into the sort of group of artists that I want to include in the magazine. My main inspiration for the support group come from a group called ' FLATBUSH ZOMBIES' shown bellow.
What I like about them is the urban image that they pose for example caps, leather armed and camouflage jackets which are very popular at the moment. They will give me an idea also of how to structure my artists when it comes to photography as the blocking position shows them s equal artists in the group
